Description
K5054 was the only Spitfire prototype made and was first flown by 'Mutt' Summers on 5th March 1936
It was introduced to the USAF in September 1954 in the fighter/bomber role with 479th Fighter Wing
The type was also in service with the Royal Canadian Air Force up until 1984
from logistical tasks to ground attack
