It features production work from Flood (Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey, Warpaint), under whose influence the band began to experiment beyond the traditional 'guitar record'. The resulting album had a heavily synthesized and industrial feel, and spawned some of their greatest tracks including "Papillon".
