Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with enamels, vertical pinback, the obverse with an eight pointed radiant star, overlaid by a Maltes Cross with white enameled arms, with a central German soldier, with gilded crossed swords piercing the central adornment, the reverse with inscriptions of Deutsches Feld Ehrenzeichen (German Field Honour Badge) and Hamburg 11, with a hinge and round wire catch (pinback missing),
