Denmark, Kingdom. A King Christian X’s Liberty Medal with Miniature. Republic of Royal Canadian Engineers Officer's CapInstituted in 1946. In silver, circular medallion topped by a crown; the obverse bears the image of King Christian X facing right, surrounded by the words CHRISTIANUS X REX DANI, the reverse is inscribed with PRO DANIA 1940 45, surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves; on original ribbon, extremely fine condition. Footnote: The Liberty Medal was instituted on 5 May 1946. It was awarded by King Christian I for special services to Denmark during WWII.
