Saxe-Meiningen, Duchy. An Art And Science Decoration, I Class Hold until his death in 1799(Verdienstorden fr Kunst und Wissenschaft, I Klasse im Silber). Instituted 23 July 1874. A Maltese cross paty constructed of silver, the obverse centre bears the right facing bust of Georg Herzog Duke of Saxony, circumscribed with GEORG HERZOG ZU SACHSEN MEININGEN, the obverse centre bears the inscription DEM VERDIENSTE (THE MERIT) with a crown underneath within an oak leaf wreath, a green enamel wreath of spades lay in the quadrants between the arms,
