An 1828 Pattern Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword, c.1830 Auction Archive but the enamels well preservedAn untouched example of the 1828 pattern featuring an 81 cm blade that remains securely fixed into the handle and guard, with the fuller running 51 cm towards to the blades end. With the brass gilt British proof slug in place stating "PROVRD GR" on one side of the ricasso thereby meeting British Ordnance standards of the time, while the reverse is plain.
