The scene has a small pleasure boat on the water. Plate 4 [not numbered] in the monograph Grove Hill: an horticultural sketch [by John Coakley Lettsom] (London, 1794). The accompanying printed text notes that 'This garden from whence the annexed fourth view is taken, is an oblong square of about an acre, situated behind the dwelling house'
