Portrait of Andrew Ure (1778-1857) mb-height 1582 'Birds of a Feather'Half length portrait of Ure with two teenaged family members [?] to his right and left. Ure is holding an umbrella and looking to camera. Oval, but printed on rectangular paper and card mounted. Inscribed in pencil lower left 'Dr Andrew Ure F. R. S.' Andrew Ure was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1821. Original: albumen print. 1853
