Description
worry dolls were traditionally made for children to tell their fears and worries
This lovely art nouveau style free hand “hearts and vines” iridescent glass vessel reminds me of the miraculous capacities of blown glass—what a tiny wonder
I am not entirely sure who is rescuing who in this wonderful old ink drawing--I think it is the bear being pulled to shore
with a tightly fitting lid that takes a bit of pressure to open
at the end of the day it's a very fine braided and woven antique Penobscot Northeast Coast Native American basket like this one--Shaker-like in its material integrity--that really takes my breath away
Bunch of Antique Clay Marbles - Batch 3 Edwin deming worry dolls were traditionally madeI fell in love with antique clay marbles through finding a bag at my local flea market last summer, and have been keeping an eye out ever since. I just think they're beautiful, and want to fill every pretty bowl I have with them! Plus I think rolling them around in the hand must be good for stress relief. I recently scored a whole bunch a mixed lot of dyed and undyed and have divided them up into groups of fifty or so, which I'm listing individually.
