Vintage Pyrex #444 4 Quart Cinderella Mixing Bowl - Butterfly Gold - Circa 1972 to 1981 tagus Serving a Chinese Meal andOnce upon a time, in a faraway land {HISTORY} In the early 1970s, artist John Phillip Johnson designed a set of bowls for Pyrex, to inject some new energy into the popular glass company. He called his design Butterfly Gold a reference to both the imagery (butterflies and flowers) and the color (a pale shade of butternut squash). The unique shape for the mixing bowls was a break from the traditional round rim. John Phillip Johnson's bowls had pour
