The handsome folk art box features a lovely scene on top and an excerpt of a William Blake poem on the front. With a wood handle, the hinged box features pegs for sewing threads and a fabric notions organizer glued to the interior of the lid. With brass hinge chain. The heavy box is made of a lovely wood; I don't know the species. The box measures approximately 13 1 2" long x 6 3 4" deep x 4 1 8" tall. Wonderful
