The inscription consists of a central circular roundel, containing a coat of arms. Surrounding this are four smaller roundels, one of which contains the date 1622. Above and below the central device reads the inscription T Salmon Nectemere, Nectimore. Many inscriptions left by prisoners in the Tower survive.
