Inscribed: 'His Royal Highness Prince Frederick, &c. Fountain pinx. Sold by I: Smith at the Lyon & Crown in Russell Street Covent Garden'. In pencil lower left 'Elected 1728' Frederick, Prince of Wales, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1728. Original: mezzotint. 1724
