I purchased this piece at an estate sale in Ipswich
and in 1868 the IOOF voted to establish Degree Lodges of the Daughters of Rebekah
which is in good condition
I’m not personally a huge fan of mid-century“fat lava” ceramics
which is more typically the case
Old Carving of Old Smiling Woman with Bonnet style I purchased this piece atI paid about as much for this little old woman as I am selling her for, but there is no way I could leave her behind that face! Squinting, but wide open. I like how her bonnet reads a bit like a big head of hair, too. I'd like to think she was the carver's mother or grandmother, maybe as she appeared ready to go to church. 5 1 2" tall x 1 3 8" wide x 3 4" deep.
