I wish I knew the maker of these striking
and the arm of the dial (called the gnomon) I am pretty sure is copper--and both are in excellent condition
1840s-1860s
dating to the 1940s I believe

Great (Slightly Wounded) Old Folk Art Prowling Black Cat paintbrush I wish I knew theI really love this carved and black painted cat, as did someone else, who made the effort to repair a broken front leg, and put tiny pads under a couple of feet. I think the prowling posture is 100% perfect cat, and she's got a really terrific face too. Found in Maine, and with a good amount of age I do believe. 11 3 4" long x 4 1 2" tall x 2 1 8" wide. Front leg repair, and a chip to a back leg as well as a small chip to one ear. Still, she stands
