Antique Pewter Baby Cradle Box english snuff box brown stained with a littleAn unusual one, which I have tried hard to find out something about, with no luck at all, including attempts to trace the mark. A box for storing silver diaper pins? Or locks of hair? A container for a child's ashes? A mold? I really have no idea, but find it quite an evocative and slightly haunting object. Definitely pewter and I assume British, with a mark that looks to read ICH together with a lion. 4 9 16" l x 3" w x 4" t. Overall very good I
