I do believe this little box is at least a century old and I'd guess quite a bit older than that
but I’ve since found that it bears a strong resemblance to ancient Chinese archers and warriors on horses
with thin black bands near the lip of the lid and near the top and bottom of the body
and the cup is 2 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" at widest (handle to handle)

Chinese Wire and Cloth Doll for the office I do believe this littleOh, so lovely! I don't know a lot about this doll, but I am pretty certain it is Chinese, and perhaps a "Chinese Opera" doll, which from what I understand were sold at Chinese opera performances as momentos, and often also then converted into puppets for use re enacting the operas. From what I can tell, the body is made of wire covered with cloth, such that the arms and legs can be manipulated some. I'd guess the head as well as the boots are made of
