all wrapped in a bitter citrus and impressively long finale where the only reproach is a hint of warmth

Clos Mont Olivet, Chateauneuf Du Pape Vintage:2007 (from Monts LuisantsFrom an uncomplicated and generous vintage that got a bit forgotten after 2009 and 2010 came along. Very meaty and savory on the nose and the full bodied palate. A bit closed at first, but after a bit of aeration in the glass a truffle note develops. Still a healthy base of fine tannins that drives the long, graceful finish. Drink or hold.
