Mary's Antique Pewter Snuff Box 1960s Bennington potters with small dings and variousWhat sold me on this 19th century snuff box is the juxtaposition between the fineness of its decoration and the clearly hand scratched "Mary." I thought it likely that Mary did this herself, but on the underside of the box in what appears to be the same hand one can just make out "To Mummy"!
