and the bulb opening inside the white half

There's a pale green tint to the inner rind

SOLD Early 19th Century Miniature Portrait of Lovely Woman in White and Blue, Presumed French hand-carved jointed figure I would guess straight fromI am not a great expert on portrait miniatures, but am pretty certain this one, of a lovely young woman in empire gown and high ruffled collar, is French, c 1810s 20s. Curiously, it seems as if the painter preferred painting patterned fabric to rendering a hand at bottom, though what looks like the edge of a sleeve cuff peeks out to the right, so perhaps there is a story there maybe our sitter lost a hand, who knows?
