minor dings

with thick expressionistic strokes of deep blue glaze against white body lending lots of energy

and very nicely carved wooden stopper at top

Very Last of the Old Birdlover's Watercolors: Hooded Merganser rosse pottery I found this one alongTruly the very last few today from a great bunch of old naive watercolor of birds done by someone long ago who was quite serious about his birds! Each and every one of them a charmer I think, this one portraying a proud Red Breasted Merganser, with wonderfully careful hand written attribution. 7" x 5" and in very good condition.
