This very firmly structured effort is a definite ‘wow’ wine that should amply reward long-term cellaring

This is perhaps a bit less mineral-driven than it usually is but this aspect may very well become more evident with age

spice and soft apricot nuances that exhibit just enough Chablis typicity to be persuasive

with a medicinal note of menthol

but with nothing out of balance

Dauzac Vintage:2009 This very firmly structured effortThe 2015 Dauzac has a classy, sophisticated bouquet of blackberry, boysenberry, cedar and light fennel aromas; a floral element emerges with just a few swirls of the glass. The palate is medium bodied with sappy red fruit, fine grip and good acidity. A little viscosity surfaces toward the finish, which leaves a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. This is a more opulent Margaux, but one that is well crafted. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015
