2023 Domaine Richaud, Cairanne Rouge, Rhône, France EmmanuelBrochet effusive Pinot Meunier named afterBlend of 40% Mourvdre, 25% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and equal parts Carignan and Counoise from low yielding vines with an average age of 40 70 years old, planted on the hillsides above the village of Cairanne. The soil here is stony with pebbly topsoils over limestone bedrock. Farmed organically. Aged in a combination of foudres (10%), demi muids (30%) and concrete (60%) in underground caves.
