we use a small amount of Petite Syrah as well

2017 Benjamin Leroux 'Les Cent-Vignes', Beaune Premier Cru, France Villa Tolnay Partially de-stemmedFrom a low slope, clay limestone parcel east of Beaune, organically farmed. Fermented with partial whole cluster, aged in mostly neutral oak. Lerouxs take on Cent Vignes is all restraint: silken texture, fine tannin. The '17 is starting to take on the complexitiy that only comes with time. Nice wine from one of Burgundy's brightest.
