2022 Rita & Rudolf Trossen St. Peter Purus Riesling Trocken, Mosel, Germany Jess Miller The vineyards in this sectionThis wine is dedicated to a church that was built by the Romans in honor of St. Peter, a church which Rita & Rudi describe as the former spiritual center of the region, whose bells filled the Moselle valley with the sound of piety for a long time. Rudis Dad planted a vineyard on the hill below the ruins, and Rudi later replanted the site to Riesling vines 2016. The fruit (100% Riesling) is fermented slowly at a very low temperature and aged on the
