2021 Cascina delle Rose Barbaresco Rio Sordo, Barbaresco DOCG, Italy Montchenot Poulsard from Arbois guided byTheir small production focuses on Barbaresco from both the clay soils of the vineyard Rio Sordo and the calcareous soils of the Tre Stelle vineyard. These steep hillside vineyards are all worked by hand; grapes are harvested, de stemmed, and fermented with natural yeasts. In 2018, they were able to obtain access to rent a small half hectare parcel of the cru Marcorino, one that had been farmed organically for years just like their own vineyards are.
